Alan Shearer has told Chelsea what they must do in Sunday's FIFA Club World Cup final against 'the best' team in the world this season, Paris Saint-Germain.
With confidence brimming from their Europa Conference League success at the end of last season, the Blues jetted off to the United States with the aim of winning the first-ever revamped Club World Cup tournament.
They finished runners-up in their group though this actually placed Enzo Maresca's men on the opposite side of the knockout bracket to European heavyweights like Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Juventus and of course finalists PSG.

Luis Enrique's side have become revered by all who have stood against them for unrelenting performances. In the 2024/25 campaign they blitzed their way to Ligue 1, Coupe de France and most notably Champions League success.
So, the Club World Cup final may see Chelsea add a second piece of silverware to their cabinet this calendar, or their opposition collect a fourth.
"It's gonna be a cracking final isn't it. Two best teams in the tournament, I guess," Shearer waxed lyrical on the latest .
"There's no doubt PSG will be favourite I think but Chelsea have improved massively as well as we said the other day. So it'll be a good final."
Four English clubs fell at the hands of the French side in 2024/25. Manchester City were beaten in the Champions League's league phase whilst Liverpool, Aston Villa and Arsenal were all defeated in the knockout rounds.
Shearer was on punditry duty with Amazon Prime analysing the Blues' upcoming opponents throughout that time.
"If they go head to head and match them then I can see another result like Real Madrid but if they are savvy and clever and sit and try to hit them on the break and soak up pressure then I would think they are in with a chance," the former striker advised.
"But the form and confidence of PSG is pretty scary. From October onwards they've been the best team by an absolute mile haven't they, anywhere.
"As I've said you can go through every single player and they are all on form, they are all playing to the best of their ability. It's going to be tough for Chelsea."
Podcast co-host Gary Lineker suggested Maresca's side may prevail through a piece of individual brilliance, singling out Cole Palmer.
"It's not impossible - they're in with a fighting chance there's no doubt about it because when you've got the likes of him and the goals we saw from Joao Pedro then yeah. A moment of magic or whatever might just give them the little belief but it's going to be tough for them," Shearer contested.
