It has been revealed when Arsenal could finally wrap up a deal for Christian Norgaard. The Brentford captain has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium for a while now as Mikel Arteta looks to bolster his options in the middle of the park.
Norgaard, whose contract at the G-Tech Community Stadium expires in June 2027, featured 34 times in the Premier League last season, scoring five goals and providing four assists. Playing a key role in the side, he helped the Bees finish in the top half of the table.
The Denmark international's impressive performances didn't go unnoticed, attracting interest from Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur. football.london understands that Norgaard is set to join the Gunners this summer, following the arrivals of Kepa Arrizabalaga and Martin Zubimendi.

In fact, according to GiveMeSport journalist Ben Jacobs, the Dane could complete his move in the next 48 hours. It's said Arsenal will pay Brentford an initial £10m, plus £5m in add-ons.
The arrival of Zubimendi appears to have triggered a domino effect, with Viktor Gyokeres also closing in on a move to the Emirates Stadium. According to the Mirror, Andrea Berta has travelled to Portugal to wrap up a deal with Sporting for the 27-year-old striker.
The report claims that the Arsenal sporting director jetted off late last week before briefly returning to the United Kingdom. Berta has since flown back out to Portugal for face-to-face talks with the Sporting president, Frederico Varandas, over a transfer which could be worth around £70m.
Meanwhile, Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke continue to be linked with moves to north London. In May, football.london exclusively reported that Arsenal were interested in signing the Crystal Palace talisman this summer.

It's believed that the 27-year-old winger, who has a £67.5m release clause, would be keen on joining Arteta's side. Eze, whose his contract at Selhurst Park expires in June 2027, featured 34 times in the Premier League this season, scoring eight goals and providing eight assists.
Playing a key role in Oliver Glasner's side, he helped the Eagles finish 12th place. As for Madueke, who's currently competing at the Club World Cup in the United States, he's 'agreed personal terms' with Arsenal, according to The Athletic.
Ahead of Chelsea's clash against Fluminense in the semi-final on Tuesday night, Enzo Maresca was asked if the £50m-rated winger was 100 percent focused. The Blues boss said: "Personally, I think the same noise where before Palmeiras came, you see we gave him half an hour and he was very good.

"So, I don't have any doubt that if we need Noni he is going to help us. At the same moment, I can understand that as a human being, when there are many noises around you, it's not easy to deal with that, but hopefully he can deal with that."
