After months of speculation linking him with a summer move to Chelsea, Victor Osimhen has found a new permanent home.
Enzo Maresca's side had been linked with signing Osimhen, 26, from Napoliafter he enjoyed a fruitful loan spell at Galatasaray last season. The Nigeria international scored 37 goals in 41 appearances for the Super Lig side before returning to Napoli this summer.
Manchester United and Arsenal were among the others that had been credited with an interest in Osimhen, but he has now decided to return to Galatasaray.

Indeed, the Turkish outfit confirmed in a statement on Thursday that he has made the move back to the club he spent the 2024/25 season at for a net fee worth £65million.
The forward has penned a four-year deal, which is expected to run until the end of the 2028/29 season. Also included in the deal is a 10 percent sell-on clause in the event of a future sale.
Osimhen is set to earn £13m per-year in Istanbul - a figure that is equivalent to around £250,000 per-week. He is also expected to pocket £870,000 as part of a signing bonus following his return to Galatasaray.
It remains to be seen if Chelsea still have Osimhen on their radar for a potential move in the future after he signed for Galatasaray. But the sell-on clause inserted by Napoli is expected to raise the price tag set by Galatasaray.
Adding to the fact that Osimhen is set to earn a sizeable amount per-week at Galatasaray could surrender a possible move. Due to Chelsea's new wage structure, only Raheem Sterling earns more per-week that what Osimhen does right now, with the ex-Liverpool man pocketing a staggering £350,000 each seven days.
Chelsea have been active in the summer transfer window strengthening their squad, having spent in excess of £200 on seven players. Jamie Gittens, Liam Delap, Joao Pedro, Estevao, Dario Essugo, Mamadou Sarr and Kendry Paez have come through the Stamford Bridge doors so far.
However, Chelsea's spending is not anticipated to stop there. The Blues are edging closer to signing Jorrel Hato from Ajax for £34m, while his Netherlands teammate Xavi Simons is on the verge of a move to west London.
