Chelsea star Cole Palmer was in a reflective mood immediately after the full-time whistle as the Blues beat Liverpool 3-1 in the Premier League.
side were in a strong position heading into the last ten minutes of normal time thanks to strike and a Jarell Quansah own goal. However, a Virgil van Dijk header ensured a nervy last few moments for the Blues.
Fortunately, were given the chance to secure the three points at the death when Moises Caicedo was brought down by Quansah for a penalty. Palmer, who had last scored in the Premier League back in January, stepped up and slotted home the spot kick to secure a big three points.

After the final whistle, was the centre of attention after being awarded the man of the match. As the cameras followed him around the pitch, he held a lengthy discussion with Noni Madueke about the game.
While it was not clear what was said, Palmer could be seen pointing to areas of the pitch which may have been to highlight incidents from the 90 minutes. He then took a moment to watch back the highlights of the game on the big screen at Stamford Bridge.
In his post-match interview, Palmer would go on to speak passionately about the last few months at the club. "I just felt normal," he explained.
"Obviously ***t happens, sorry for my language. I went three months without scoring but it just gives me more fight and motivation to do more for myself and for the team.
"Social media nowadays is full of idiots, the trolls and whatever. I don't pay any attention to that.
"I've scored today and I'm happy but it's only one and I've got to keep improving and try and reach new levels." Palmer is clearly motivated to help return to the next season and through his post-match actions, does not seem ready to rest on his laurels.
Next up for the Blues is their Conference League semi-final second leg which they lead Djurgarden 4-1 after the first leg in Sweden. In the Premier League, Chelsea travel to Newcastle United at midday on Sunday.
