On June 29, 2025, the city's weather is expected to remain warm and humid, with occasional chances of rain due to the ongoing Southwest Monsoon influence.

The maximum temperature on June 29 is likely to hover around 34°C, while the minimum temperature may stay close to 28°C. The day may start with relatively clear skies, but cloud cover could increase as the day progresses.

The Regional Meteorological Department (RMC) has issued rainfall in Chennai, Ranipet, Puducherry, Tiruvallur, Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Tenkasi, Dindigul, Theni, Thoothukudi, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Sivaganga, Chengalpattu, Pudukkottai, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Ramanathapuram, Namakkal, Tirunelveli, Tiruppur, and Kanniyakumari, Madurai and Virudhunagar districts of Tamil Nadu.

Cyclonic circulation is influencing the rainfall

The rainfall is likely due to a cyclonic circulation over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and the adjoining South Andaman Sea. The weather department also stated that, apart from Tamil Nadu, rainfall is likely to occur in other states, including Odisha, Karnataka, West Bengal, Maharashtra, and Telangana.
