Tensions between India and Pakistan, briefly appeared to de-escalate after both sides announced a ceasefire agreement on Saturday, May 10. Misri had said that the Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) from both nations had agreed to cease all hostilities from that time, after intense negotiations. 2. CM Omar Abdullah's Raises Concern Over Ceasefire Violation

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed his concerns over the ceasefire on social media. He questioned the validity of the truce while explosions continued to be heard across Srinagar, posting on X, “What the hell just happened to the ceasefire?”

3. Drone Sightings and Explosions in Kashmir; Air Defence Systems Respond

Shortly after the ceasefire agreement, Jammu and Kashmir witnessed a series of drone sightings followed by explosions across the Valley. These incidents, attributed to cross-border violations, raised serious concerns about the truce’s credibility. In response, air defense forces were swiftly activated.
