Indore (Madhya Pradesh): As the state braces another spell of rain, the weather department has issued heavy rain alert in 12 districts including Rewa, Gwalior and Chambal divisions on Saturday.
According to The Meteorological Department, heavy rain potentially reaching over 4 inches in next 24 hours is expected in Gwalior, Sheopur, Morena, Bhind, Datia, Panna, Satna, Maihar, Rewa, Mauganj, Sidhi and Singrauli on Saturday.
Yellow alert issued in several districts
Yellow alert for rain has been issued in other districts of the state including Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur. Officials have warned that the rain system currently active over the state will remain strong for at least the next five days.

According to a senior weatherman, two active systems are passing through the north-east and southern parts of the state due to which the state can witness heavy rainfall.
On Friday, more than 20 districts in the state received heavy rain. Naugaon in Chhatarpur recorded the highest at 1 inch in a single day. There was a spell of rain in many districts including Bhopal, Betul, Datia, Guna, Gwalior, Narmadapuram, Indore, Khandwa, Ratlam, Ujjain, Khajuraho, Narsinghpur, Rewa, Satna, Tikamgarh, Balaghat, Umaria, Mauganj.

29 June: There is a possibility of heavy rain in Rewa, Sidhi, Singrauli, Guna, Ashoknagar. There is also an alert of rain in Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Ujjain, Jabalpur. There is a yellow alert in the entire state.
June 30: There is an orange alert for very heavy rain in Mandla, Balaghat and Shahdol. It is estimated that up to 8 inches of rain may fall here in 24 hours. Heavy rain may occur in Sehore, Vidisha, Raisen, Guna, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Damoh, Katni, Umaria, Dindori, Anuppur, Satna, Sidhi. The rain will continue in the remaining districts as well.
