Panvel: In a cultural initiative aimed at nurturing local theatre talent, the Panvel Municipal Corporation, in collaboration with the Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Natya Parishad’s Panvel branch, will conduct a seven-day acting workshop from May 19 to May 25.
The workshop will be held at the Adya Krantiveer Vasudev Balwant Phadke Auditorium in Panvel.
The acting camp is designed to offer scientific and professional training in acting to aspiring and amateur theatre artists in the city.
Municipal Commissioner Mangesh Chitale emphasized the importance of such initiatives in promoting the arts at the grassroots level.
Vice President of the Natya Parishad, Paresh Thakur, noted that the summer break offers an ideal opportunity for young artists to participate and hone their skills.
The workshop will be divided into two categories:
Youth Group (ages 8–16)
Adult Group (ages 16–60)
Sessions for the youth group will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., while the adult group will train from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Participation is free, but entries are limited to the first 30 applicants per group due to capacity constraints.
Renowned figures from the theatre and film industries will guide the participants. The workshop will conclude with a final performance, and all participants will be awarded certificates.
