Jaipur: The circulation system turned into a low-pressure area over north-eastern Rajasthan, causing heavy downpours in Kota, Udaipur, and Jodhpur divisions during the past 24 hours. Heavy rains have disrupted life in the state, with 7 people died due to drowning, lightning, and electrocution amid the rain, while 7 were swept away in the Chambal River in Kota. Of these, 1 was rescued, while 6 are missing.
There were flood like situations in Kota, Baran, Pali and some other places in Rajasthan with the highest rainfall of 198 mm was recorded in Khatoli, Kota and 167 mm in Pali. Apart from this, around 15 statins received rainfall of 100-150 mm during the past 24 hours.

Seven people were swept away due to the rise in the Chambal river near Biraj Mataji temple in Nimoda Hariji village in Kota. Of these, 6 are missing, while 1 person was rescued by the SDRF team.
A young woman was swept away along with her scooter in the strong flow of water in Bandha Dharampura of the district. The SDRF team took her out and rushed to the hospital, but she died.
Three youths died due to drowning in the Nilia Mahadev waterfall in Chittorgarh. All three were second-year students of nursing college and were on a picnic.

Besides this, a child died after being swept away in a drain in Rawatbhata, a youth died due to lightning in Bharatpur, another youth died due to electrocution in Pali, and a young man was swept away in the Baamni river in Dholpur.
