Sheraton Hyderabad Hotel’s contemporary venue Zega recently hosted ‘Bloom & Beyond – The Mother Shift’, an exclusive and deeply resonant panel discussion curated by Travelling Sandook – Wellness Bazaar, spotlighting the often-sidelined aspects of pre- and postpartum wellness. The invite-only event brought together a compelling audience of entrepreneurs, content creators, healthcare professionals, and mothers from across Hyderabad’s growing wellness and business communities.
Moderated by Puja Khan, Co-Founder of Bear & Bugle and the driving force behind Wellness Bazaar, the discussion explored the theme “Truth About Hormones, Skin, and Strength Post Birth,” through the insights of four accomplished women who are reshaping how we think about maternal wellness. The conversation opened up honest dialogues around the physical, emotional, and hormonal shifts mothers experience post-delivery — conversations rarely given the space they deserve.
Madhavi Chalasani, founder of YelloLife, shared how mindful eating can play a transformative role in postpartum recovery. With a Master’s degree in Nutrition & Dietetics and Child Psychology, she offered practical tools to cultivate food awareness that supports both physical healing and emotional clarity. Internationally acclaimed maternal fitness educator and TEDx speaker Sucheta Pal, creator of Mom.Bod.Strong, focused on sustainable and compassionate movement practices. She reframed fitness as a form of empowerment rather than pressure, offering guidance that helps mothers rebuild strength while nurturing emotional balance.
Adding a dual lens of medical expertise and personal experience, Dr. Pooja Reddy, a board-certified dermatologist and expectant mother, addressed the skin-related challenges that many women face during this phase — including hormonal acne, pigmentation, stretch marks, and sensitivity — and provided grounded, science-backed solutions. Meanwhile, Malavika Siddharth, certified nutritionist and co-founder of Hello Tempayy, highlighted the often-overlooked connection between gut health and postpartum recovery. With her global experience and passion for addressing nutritional gaps in Indian diets, she offered particularly valuable insight for vegetarian and vegan mothers navigating protein deficiencies.
Together, the panel bridged a significant gap in pre and postpartum care by going beyond conventional medical advice to embrace a more holistic, wellness-first approach. The audience left with practical tools and a deeper understanding of the importance of nutrition, fitness, skin care, and internal health in the journey of motherhood.
This initiative reflects Sheraton Hyderabad’s commitment to hosting meaningful, knowledge-driven events that address real community needs — creating a space where purpose, expertise, and empathy converge.
