ITV confirms Big Brother 2025 start date after cryptic teaser

ITV has confirmed that Big Brother will return later this month just days after teasing the house is almost ready to open its doors.

Just last week, the channel posted an Instagram reel teasing viewers with the forthcoming third season.

The video was accompanied by a cryptic caption, which reads: "Do you want the house tour?! Gotcha! Not quite yet but…The blueprints are in. The game is changing. Big Brother is ready to play... are you?"

Now, ITV has announced that Big Brother 2025 will start on Sunday September 28 at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.

TV presenter AJ Odudu and Radio star Will Best will return as hosts for the forthcoming series. The duo has led the show since its revival in 2023.

There is no news on the cast line-up just yet, but we suspect it will be announced soon.

This season will have an extended seven-week run, which is seven days longer than the last two seasons.

Viewers can also tune into Big Brother: Late & Live every night after the main episode. As with past seasons, it will feature "fiery debate and hot takes" from a celebrity panel.

The beloved Big Brother: Live Stream will also be making a comeback this year, offering fans the opportunity to watch live footage from the house well into the small hours.

As for the main show, ITV has teased: "Viewers can expect more new twists and turns, elaborate tasks, intense nominations and live evictions as the cast of Housemates go up against one another in a bid to be crowned the winner, and walk away with a life-changing cash prize."

Sharing the news on social media, the broadcaster posted yet another Instagram reel, which garnered over 40K views within 30 minutes.

Fans have expressed their anticipation in the comments section, with one gushing: "Let's go, I can't wait."

A second chimed in with: "More reason to stay up late now," while another raved: "Omg we starting early thank goodness."

Big Brother will start on Sunday 28th September at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
