Vardy agreed a 12-month deal following ’s elevation under Enzo Maresca last season. However, if he were to put pen to paper again for the Foxes, he would only attract a Championship-level deal.
With the clock ticking down - if he plays on next term, he will do so into his 40th year - Vardy is anxious to squeeze what he can from what time he has left.
