Liverpool have been handed a stark warning by Jamie Redknapp following their defeat to Chelsea in the Premier League. The Reds suffered a 2-1 loss at Stamford Bridge on Saturday night, dropping to second place in the table as a result.
Cody Gakpo's second-half strike seemed to have salvaged a point for Liverpool after Moises Caicedo had fired Chelsea ahead. But the visitors were left heartbroken when they conceded a stoppage-time winner from Estevao Willian to suffer defeat in West London.
Arne Slot opted to field Conor Bradley at right-back for the clash against Chelsea, but chose to replace him at the interval and introduced Florian Wirtz. Liverpool sold former first-choice right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid during the summer and subsequently brought in Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen.

Since that move, Slot has deployed both Bradley and Frimpong at right-back during the early weeks of the season, whilst also securing a new left-back in Milos Kerkez to provide competition for Andy Robertson.
The defeat to Chelsea left Liverpool fretting about Robertson's fitness, with the Scotland captain spotted hobbling off the pitch after the full-time whistle.
"They've got problems at full-back. They're missing Trent [Alexander-Arnold]," Redknapp told Sky Sports.
"They haven't played the same right-back since the Burnley game. [Conor] Bradley had a tough 45 minutes. [Milos] Kerkez hasn't quite adapted either - the pressure of playing for Bournemouth isn't the same.
"They have problems all over the pitch, but especially at full-back with [Andy] Robertson's injury at the end. This international break could be a good chance to reset."
Liverpool's next match will see them take on Manchester United at Anfield after the international break on October 19.
The Reds have now lost their last three matches in all competitions, with defeats in the Premier League to Crystal Palace and Chelsea being joined by a loss in the Champions League at the hands of Galatasaray.
The defeat at Chelsea also saw Liverpool handed a fresh injury concern. Ibrahima Konate was substituted just 10 minutes into the second half with a suspected quad injury, with the reigning Premier League champions already having Alisson Becker and Giovanni Leoni on the sidelines.
