Noel Gallagherneeded a brief moment to collect himself as he and brother Liam took to the stage for Oasis' first concert in 16 years.The iconic band took to the stage at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on Friday night with over 70,000 emotional fans attending the historical event.
While singing Half The World Away, Noel stopped singing for a couple of bars and looked emotional as he took in the scenes in front of him. The group started off their long-awaited set with Hello before Liam told the crowd: "Hey beautiful people it’s been too long,."
There was a Knebworth vibe to the show as it kicked off, with a football floating around in the crowd.

The second song performed was Acquiesce. Liam then delivered his address before the band belted out Morning Glory.
After performing Roll With It, Liam walked off the stage with Noel taking over the singing duties. Before starting the song, Noel seemingly referenced the dynamic pricing scandal by quoting the audience a price before exclaiming: "It's just gone up!"
Not long after, an audience member was seen getting put on a stretcher and lead through the crowd by security. The medical crew rushed to the stretcher, which was taken out on Noel's side of the stage as D'You Know What I Mean played.

The hotly-anticipated tour is the culmination of months of speculation, a feverish ticket saleand a long 16 year wait from fans.
A shock comeback was unveiled in August 2024, with the band declaring: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”
A chaotic rush for ticketsfollowed with 17 dates announced across London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Dublin before the band announced more concerts in North America, Mexico, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Chile and Argentina - giving fans around the world the chance to hear the hits live again.
Before Oasis came on stage on Friday, fans watched as Cast and Richard Ashcroft performed.
One of Noel Gallagher's ex-wives was even spotted in the crowd. Meg Mathews, who was married to the rocker from 1997 until 2001, was in good spirits as she prepared to watch Richard.
Meg wasn't the only one keen to watch Richard perform, with Noel spotted sneaking into the crowd to catch the remainder of his set just minutes before he was due to take to the stage.
