A She-Hulk star has told her fans to cancel their Disney+ subscriptions as Jimmy Kimmel's axe has sparked fury. Tatiana Maslany has spoken to her followers after the talk show host was pulled off the air.
The actress took to her Instagram stories on Thursday to express her support of the comedian just a day after his late night talk show was suspended "indefinitely" by ABC following his remarks over Charlie Kirk.
Kirk, 31, was shot and killed last week when he was speaking at Utah Valley University. Kimmel insinuated that the suspected shooter Tyler Robinson, 22, was Republican and that the "Maga gang" was trying to "score political points" over Kirk's death.

Tatiana shared a behind-the-scenes photo as she filmed the Disney+ series She-Hulk: Attorney At Law. She also added text at the top which said: "Cancel your @disneyplus @hulu @espn subscriptions."
Several other well-known names have also defended Kimmel over his comments since his show was axed. During the show he said that the "MAGA gang" was "desperately trying to characterize the kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it".
Kimmel also spoke about President Donald Trump, sarcastically pointing out "how hard the president is taking this" as he played a clip of him deflecting and talking about the White House's ballroom construction when a reporter offered their condolences for the loss of his "friend".
It was announced on Wednesday that Jimmy Kimmel Live! will not be aired by ABC for "the foreseeable future". The network's affiliate group Nexstar also said that it "strongly objects" to Kimmel's comments.
Celebrities have since supported that star. Actor Ben Stiller posted on X as he said: "This isn't right." Singer John Legend shared a post by David Frum which read: "How dare you call us fascists just because our appointees threaten government retaliation against broadcast networks if their comedians don't say what we want them to say."
Actress Alison Brie wrote: "This is unreal. And very scary." Actor Josh Gad said: "I see we are at the passive participation of authoritarianism now. God help us all."
Kimmel was reportedly due to address his controversial remarks on his show Wednesday night but then he received news that he had been axed according to Deadline.
Unions in Hollywood such as SAG-AFTRA and WGA have also stood by Kimmel's side after the show's cancellation and supported the star.
Trump shared his own message about Kimmel's axe: "Great News for America: The ratings challenged Jimmy Kimmel Show is CANCELLED.
"Congratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what had to be done. Kimmel has ZERO talent, and worse ratings than even Colbert, if that's possible."
