There's nothing like tucking into a portion of fish and chips when you are hungry or by the seaside. People have been rushing to this village chippy to get their hands on what is said to be the UK's most expensive fish and chips, but many have been put off by the price. The enormous treat has even seen people from the US travelling over to try it.
The 2.2kg battered fillet - a staggering 1.9kg bigger than a typical battered fish - from Archie's Fish and Chips in Thanet, Kent, has become a viral sensation. However, it'll set customers back a whopping £65 - and people struggle to finish it. The feast is called 'the Big Fish Meal' and is perfect for sharing as it includes the huge fish, four portions of chips, four sides, four drinks and bread and butter.
Alex and Natalie Bovalyaev, who have been running the chippy for 11 years with the help of their son and daughter, originally created the giant fish meal for their friends.

They thought it would be a one-off but decided to test it on customers - and they haven't looked back; people love it.
Alex told KentOnline: "It's bringing more customers in, as I think people enjoy something unusual. Because it's such a big piece and so chunky, I wasn't sure if it would come out OK. But after it's fried, it comes out very nice."
Millions of people have watched clips online of people trying to tackle the giant fish. "Our customers are loving their Big Fish Meal," Archies Fish Shop said on Instagram recently as they shared a video of a family loving the treat. They even had to use a bread knife to cut the fish because of its size.
"That batter looks amazing, the crunch is everything," commented one individual. One other said: "Wow. That's amazing. My dream meal."

"Wow that looks incredible," added another. Another wrote: "That looks so delicious. I love good fish and chips."
"Now that's what I call fish and chips," said one other. Another said: "This would feed a whole football team."
One fish and chip fan said: "I could and would eat that whole plate myself… I still think about the fish and chips I had when I first arrived in England many years ago." "If I ever visit the UK - so getting lunch here," insisted one other.
On TikTok, one individual said: "Over 4000 miles away! I'm going!" On Trip Advisor one individual said it is "the best chippy dinner" they have ever had.
Commenting on the price on social media, another said: "£65 that's actually pretty decent considering the prices of everything nowadays in London."
While groups have managed to finish off the giant meal, Alex and Natalie said no one has managed the whole meal on their own yet.
And it isn't so easy sourcing the giant fish either. "Sometimes we're lucky, but sometimes we don't get any big sizes," Alex admitted.
