A transcript button allows users to see text versions of answers and switch between voice and typed interactions. This functionality is especially beneficial for users who are multitasking or on the go and require hands-free searching.

The system uses Google's "query fan-out technology" to display a variety of web content, although there are concerns that this may reduce traffic to sources, as users can get full information without clicking through to a website.
