Charity Dingle (played by Emma Atkins) was branded a terrible mother by her own granddaughter daughter, Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill), during tonight's episode of Emmerdale after she came around from her surgery for cervical cancer.
Coming to terms with the fact she will struggle conceiving a child of her own, Sarah lashed out at Charity by saying: "It's funny how little stress childbirth was for you, isn't it? Two by the time you were my age, oh, and then a couple more prison births where you popped them out behind bars like there is nothing to it. There isn't when you are the worst mum in history."
Sarah continued: "She didn't want me to have a baby, guess what, no baby? I want a baby so much, and you get to throw yours away like unwanted dogs."

Charity abruptly left the hospital room in tears before taking her frustrations out on partner Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) in their house. Before long, the emotional Emmerdale character grabbed a bottle of wine and started drinking it from the bottle on a bench near her house.
When Mackenzie found her in a drunken and teary state, she erupted at him and smashed the almost empty bottle on the ground while begging him to leave her alone.
He said: "I see we have ourselves a little pity party. I'm sorry, Charity, but you are making this all about you." Mack then walked away after Charity's violent outburst, and fans headed to X in droves as they were convinced the pair were heading for divorce.
One shared a meme of an audience clapping and penned: "Me when Charity almost threw that bottle at Mackenzie! That divorce is so happening! #Emmerdale."
Another shared a clip of someone popping a bottle of champagne: "Scenes when Charity FINALLY divorces Mack # Emmerdale." Someone else added, "Charity and Mack divorce incoming..... #Emmerdale."
Michelle said, " I'm so bored of Mackrat making it all about him. Charity, do us a favour and divorce this toxic manchild! #Emmerdale."
If the couple divorces, does this mean Mack will leave the village and move back to Scotland to start a new life? Or would Charity be the character to flee the Yorkshire Dales?
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
