King Charles left Emma Raducanu and tennis fans in stitches when he asked if she "had found a coach yet" after presenting the tennis star with an MBE in 2022. Emma is currently competing in the women's singles in SW19 as she aims for her second-ever Grand Slam title.
The tennis star might just have a rather special royal supporter in her corner - King Charles, who shared a cheeky exchange with the young star a few years ago. The Briton had her special moment with the King when she was awarded an MBE for her services to tennis. Just aged 20 years old at the time, she revealed how hilarious the monarch truly was following the Royal encounter. Speaking to the Sunday Times Style Magazine in 2023, Raducanu admitted that the King had "good banter" when he asked her: "Have you found a coach yet?"

Emma said: "I was like, 'That's good banter!' It was so funny, I was laughing because everyone was ripping me for not having a coach. I was like, 'The fact you know this, I feel honoured.'"
The monarch's witty remark, likely to have pleased many tennis fans, to the young tennis star shows he's always in the know when it comes to the latest in sports.
This week, the tennis star said she would give her coach Mark Petchey an "11 out of 10" after she secured a comfortable victory over compatriot Mimi Xu on Monday.
She added: "He's been everything the last few months for me. I've really enjoyed being around him. He's helped me so much on all fronts, tennis, off-court."
The 22-year-old is set to team up with Spain's Carlos Alcaraz at the US Open later this year. Both players have already enjoyed victorious starts at the All England Club, despite going about their games in different fashions.
The former US Open winner has previously responded to claims of a relationship between the two, declaring: "We're just good friends."
The young tennis players will be hoping to progress further into the tournament as Alcaraz looks to defend his win at SW19 from last year and Raducanu plans to impress in front of her home crowd.
Last year, the Princess of Wales handed Carlos Alcaraz the champion's trophy after the Wimbledon men's final at the All England Club.
