Liverpool will continue being one of the busiest Premier League clubs in the transfer window even after securing a club-record £146million swoop of Bayer Leverkusen for Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong. Arne Slot is determined to continue improving his squad and remain ahead of Manchester City and Arsenal next season.
Further deals are expected to take place over the coming weeks. A reported £40m move for Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez is widely understood to be close to completion. There could be further incomings, with a new centre-back reportedly high on Liverpool's agenda. Crystal Palace and England star Marc Guehi, who has only a year remaining on his contract, is believed to be a target.
A speculative move for Alexander Isak could be pursued later in the window. Isak would complete Liverpool's forward line and surely make them contenders to retain the Premier League title next season.
Newcastle, who qualified for the Champions League, will be firm in their stance that the Swedish striker is not for sale. Liverpool could face forking out yet another nine-figure deal if they decide to launch a blockbuster bid.
Moves for Wirtz, Frimpong, Kerkez, Guehi and Isak could cost Liverpool a combined £350m. To avoid any possible threat of a profit and sustainability regulations breach, sales will need to be sanctioned to bring down their net spend.
Jarell Quansah is expected to join Bayer Leverkusen in a deal reported to be worth £35m. Federico Chiesa and Darwin Nunez, who seem unlikely to earn much game time next season, have been strongly linked with exits. Wide-ranging reports claimed earlier this month that Nunez could be valued at £70m, although it seems unlikely that Liverpool will receive anywhere near that fee for the Uruguayan.

Harvey Elliott's future has been thrown into the spotlight after he admitted: "Nothing makes me want to leave. I love the club, I love the fans, the team. I support them as well. But most importantly, it's just about what's best for my career."
Ibrahima Konate has also been loosely linked with an exit to Real Madrid following reports linking Liverpool with a new centre-back. The Frenchman's partnership with Virgil van Dijk was key in the Reds' title triumph but the Premier League's financial rules may dictate that another major sale could be necessary.
The same could be said of Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz, both of whom have been the subject of speculation. Gakpo denied knowledge of interest from Bayern Munich earlier this month, while there could be sense in offloading Diaz, who turns 29 next season and has only two years remaining on his contract.
Tyler Morton, an academy graduate like Quansah, may also be moved on if Liverpool decide they need to make some profit. His success in the Championship will make him an attractive proposition to interested clubs. Endo Wataru could also find himself walking out of the Anfield exit in what is shaping up to be a busy summer for Liverpool.
