
All traffic stopped on the M62 this afternoon, Sunday October 12, following a police incident. Traffic was held on the eastbound carriageway between J22 for Denshaw and J23 near Huddersfield.
Emergency services, including police officers, rushed to the scene of the collision. As cars stopped, traffic built up, with 45 minutes delays and four miles of congestion. All lanes were reopened before 4pm, but congestion continued due to trapped traffic. Traffic has now returned back to normal.
