One critic said: "Weapons is an ambitious, well-crafted, and expansive horror experience that shows Zach Cregger is a filmmaking force to be reckoned with in cinema. Highly recommended."

The audience consensus states: "Loaded with bold elements that make it not just a great horror film, but a noteworthy film overall, Weapons is ultimately an impressive, genre-bending experience that's original, entertaining, and satisfying despite its faint air of ambiguity."

An audience reviewer described the movie as a "masterpiece" and said: "From the very first frame, Weapons grips you with a taut, almost suffocating atmosphere that never lets go. This is a masterful piece of filmmaking that transcends the typical thriller genre, delving deep into the psychological ramifications of violence. The director, with a keen eye for detail, builds a world that feels both familiar and unnervingly alien."

It's refreshing to see such commitment to originality in mainstream horror, and the movie feels like a love letter to the genre's willingness to take risks," added another viewer.
