There are five things to do before it hits 7am and if you start doing them, you may notice a change in your mood and overall energy levels.
So what are they and is it worth actually waking up a bit earlier? According to Silvia Severino, a psychologist and social media educator, making the small change can make the difference between a chaotic day and one with purpose and direction. And whilst losing out on an extra five minutes in bed is a lot, especially if you have a lot going on, it could be worth giving it a go.
Taking to TikTok under the username @silviaseverinopsico, the psychologist urges people to wake up correctly and "with a purpose." This doesn't mean you need to wake up with a grand plan and a beaming smile, but you should think about the day ahead and have a general plan of what you want to achieve.
So what else does she share?
These habits will help you start the day clearly and objectively, preventing you from reacting randomly, she said. Not only will you feel better for it, but you will look back and be glad you set your alarm for slightly earlier.
