Parties to decide their agenda for MC house meeting today

Chandigarh: Both governing BJP and opposition parties, Congress and AAP , will meet Tuesday to plan their respective strategies for the monthly house meeting the day after. The opposition is planning to corner the BJP on property tax hike , while the saffron party is likely to take credit for the decrease in the said tax.

This apart, the financial position of the MC and halted development works are also likely to be taken up during the meeting. Sources said since the MC is planning to reduce manpower, it may also come up for discussion during the zero hour. An opposition member said, "Since the BJP ensured the steep hike of the property tax, which still remains exorbitant, it stands exposed before the public." On the other hand, a BJP leader said, "It was the BJP that fought against the steep hike in property tax." tnn
