Surat: Surat police are yet to get any clue in the case of abduction of an 11-year-old boy from the Puna area. The boy was allegedly abducted by a 23-year-old woman teacher who used to give him tuition. She also worked at the same school where the boy studied in class 5.

Puna police inspector V M Desai said, "We are investigating the case based on her last mobile location, which was Surat railway station. We don't have any footage of where they went from the station. We are yet to know if they have left Surat or are still in the city. We talked to the family members of both but couldn't determine the reason why the boy was abducted."

Meanwhile, police have come to know that the accused bought a trolley bag before leaving the area. "On checking the reverse CCTV trail, we found that the accused came with a new bag. We also confirmed the shop it was bought from. This shows she planned the abduction well in advance," said police sources.

Both were seen in CCTV footage of a society in Parvat Patiya area. As metro work is going on near the area, police are finding it tough to gather more information about them through CCTV.

Puna police have also checked hotels in the station area but couldn't find any clue.

Meanwhile, the boy's family remains worried.
