Class act! Yashasvi Jaiswal ahead of Virat Kohli in rare record

Send Push
NEW DELHI: It was a pure display of class from Rajasthan Royals ’ star batter Yashasvi Jaiswal during the IPL 2025 clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru . Walking in to open the innings, Jaiswal faced Bhuvneshwar Kumar and launched the very first delivery into the stands for a stunning six.

With that audacious stroke, Jaiswal cemented his place in IPL history as the player with the most sixes off the first ball of an innings — achieving the feat three times. The fearless left-hander tops a list that includes Naman Ojha, Mayank Agarwal, Sunil Narine, Virat Kohli , Robin Uthappa, Phil Salt, and Priyansh Arya, all of whom have done it once.
